It all started with a simple problem: finding fun, affordable golf apparel for kids was almost impossible. And when we did find something, it never matched what mom or dad were wearing. Everything felt like an afterthought — overpriced, poorly made, or missing the style and energy that makes golf fun.
So, we decided to change that.
⛳ Building a Brand for the Whole Family
Little Birdie Golf Co. was founded to solve two problems — make high-quality golf apparel affordable and design pieces that bring families together in style. We wanted kids to look just as good as their parents on the course, without breaking the bank.
Our vision was simple: create a brand that celebrates the joy of golf and the people who play it together. From our very first “Launch Edition” hats to our upcoming apparel lines, every piece is designed with purpose — blending performance, comfort, and playful style that feels just right whether you’re sinking putts or sharing laughs between holes.
💚 Why We Do It
Golf is more than a game — it’s time together. It’s teaching your kids how to grip the club, celebrating that first pure shot, and laughing off the shanks. We started Little Birdie because we believe golf should be about connection, joy, and shared experiences — not just scorecards.
Our goal is to make the game feel more approachable for everyone. Whether you’re a seasoned player or just learning the ropes, Little Birdie is about looking good, having fun, and enjoying the moments that matter most.
🐥 What’s Next for Little Birdie
We’re just getting started. As our flock grows, we’ll keep releasing limited-run designs and family-inspired collections made to bring people together on and off the course. Because at the end of the day, it’s not just about playing golf — it’s about playing together.
Join the flock. Follow along as we build something special — one swing, one smile, and one little birdie at a time.

In December 2019, our son, Alexander Padilla, was sadly a victim of gun violence which resulted in his death, and he was only 25-years-old. Alex graduated from Central Catholic High School in 2012. He loved his pit bulls, saving other animals, riding his motorcycle, and he was a Pittsburgh Pirates fan. His motto was “no animal left behind.” Alex made everyone smile, he was a friend to everyone he met, and he did not discriminate against anyone. We need to stop gun violence in Toledo, and across this country. In memory of Alex, we are actively working on the 6th Annual Alex Padilla Memorial Golf Outing/Fundraiser, which will be held in July 18, 2026, at Detwiler Golf Course, 4001 N. Summit St., Toledo, Ohio.
As we embark on our 6th year, we would like to extend our warmest, heartfelt thanks to every previous sponsor, donor, volunteer and supporter that has helped make our event successful. This year, the organization is setting its sights on even greater goals, we would like to reach $15,000.00 this year, and you are invited to be a part of this journey. Over the past five years the money we raised has gone to Central Catholic Alex Padilla Scholarship Fund; LC4; PITT Crew; Colton Strong (a child with cancer), Toledo Youth Programs, Nickens Family Rescue and Sanctuary, Toledo Animal Rescue, Still Missing Animal Welfare Group, emergency surgery services for animals, Adopting a local family in need/Christmas; Wrestling Club Scholarships; Emergency Animal Hospitals; Toledo Area Lost and Found Pets, Toledo Pet Bull Project, and other non-profit organizations. We are not a 501©3 because we donate mostly to the non-profit organizations that are 501©3. However, if you make a donation we can provide you with a donation receipt, if needed. In 2025, we raised $13,141.00, which has been distributed to some of the non-profits listed and will continue to be distributed as needed.
To help effectively plan and ensure the success of these initiatives, we are reaching out to the community of supporters now because we want to give your organization ample time to plan as you may be preparing your annual budget for 2026. We understand that you get many request, but please help us make this event a continued success. We are trying to turn a horrific tragedy into something positive. There are a few different ways you can contribute to our organization. We need donations or services that you may have available to donate to be used as silent auction items and raffle items, including gift certificates/gift cards, merchandise, and/or your own gift basket. If you do not want to donate items/services, you can be a raffle sponsor and give us a monetary donation to be used towards buying raffle items (please state that when making a monetary donation). We need items for the golfers goodie bags (hydration drink, snacks, golf tees/balls, etc). Anything your company can do to help us and make our event successful is significantly appreciated. In past years, we have had up to 164 golfers, 50 volunteers, and approximately 100 other people that attended our event.
We would like all donations by May 31, 2026. If you need more time, please let us know. Donations can be mailed to Julie Hepfinger C/O Alex Padilla Golf Outing 4640 Suder Ave., Toledo, Ohio, 43611. If you are a local business and need us to pick your donation up, please contact Julie Hepfinger at 419-215-4599 or Dawn Erdman at 419-699-0168, or feel free to send us an email at apadilla333p@yahoo.com Monetary donations can be mailed to addresses listed and make checks payable to: Alex Padilla Memorial Golf Outing. Event Sponsorships and registration for golfers for the event will open around April/May 2026. If your business is interested in golfing in our event, and/or being a sponsor, please contact Nick Laporta at nicklaporta2@gmail.com. There are different levels for sponsors; $100/$200 hole sponsorship includes business name printed on a yard sign at the tee of your choice for $200 or more, any tee we pick for $100. This year we would like to have more sponsors than previous years. We would like to reach the goal of 25 sponsors this year.
Thank you in advance for your donation. Flyer is attached. Please visit the Alex Padilla Memorial Golf Outing page on Facebook. If you make a donation, you will be recognized on our Facebook page. Thank you again for all the support and love in memory of Alex. Generosity is the foundation of the work, and the organization is profoundly grateful for your partnership, together we can make a difference in the community.
Respectfully, The Padilla Family and Rex and Romeo (Alex’s fur babies)
P.S.: We thought we should share an update with all of you. Alex’s birthday is March 17, 1994. On March 17, 2026, Romeo crossed the rainbow bridge to be with Alex. It was a very sad day. As we tried to celebrate Alex’s life, we had to say goodbye to his first baby, Romeo (he was 12 years old). We know that Alex was waiting at the gate for his baby
